My adventure in beekeeping starts tomorrow... I'm just a tad bit on the nervous side.

Grades are in! Four A's and one B. Best semester ever I think.

No power for 5 hours during the night.

Went and picked up my transcript today, GPA was better than I thought but it really should have been better. I'm going to take a few more classes this spring and summer and hopefully transfer out to another school for the fall.

Yeah, so it looks like we will be cutting our own trees -_- We had a guy that said he would remove the trees, stumps, lime, and grade it for us for a $1,000 an acre. Well, he came by with a guy that he was logging with and said if he could use the trees he might be able to do it for less. We really need the pasture and that was a good price. He said it would be two weeks, well that was four weeks ago. My dad called him and he said he would come by, well he sent the logger.

What a sexist ass he was. My Mom would ask him something and he wouldn't even look at her and would just keep talking to my Dad like she didn't even exist. It made her so mad, it made me mad and I wasn't even out there. He said that he got $40.00 an hour and that he worked from morning to night and it would take him 5 days. Not only did he get $40 an hour, he also got the trees and he was going to leave a mess. Most men around here don't want to talk to a female about anything; they still live in the stone age.

It is so hot. It is 92 INSIDE and about 95 out.

Other news... Meiling was bred today. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yesterday my ram rammed me twice -_- I was in the field to give Rue his corid and the buck and ram were sleeping, they got up and came to see what I was doing. Slowly I started to leave not taking my eyes off of them and the next thing I know, I'm on the ground. When I got up he rammed me again. I'm so glad I got up the second time before he could hit me while I was down. I had to get a hold of him with one hand and Octo with the other and wait for Kara to come get one of them. Anar is so heavy I couldn't hardly drag him to the gate for me to get out. I have some rather nasty bruises now on both legs.

Quelpo has an ulcer in his eye. I'm not sue how he managed that but the vet came out yesterday and looked at it, left us some ointment and instructions. First time ever that they never gave the first dose. I think her little high school helper was afraid of the stallions, lol.

Quelpo is still being nasty to the other colts especially Concerto :(

Also, we lost Toko today :( :( :( He was up walking around earlier before we went to town and when we came back this afternoon we didn't see him up. I thought for sure I seen him moving and was worried he had gotten down and couldn't get up. When I got to where he was I found him dead. It has made for a terrible afternoon. It is so strange not to have him with his brothers and his sire. He was just a little over a year old and such a sweet boy. Goodbye Toko :*(

Kelpie is back from school :) and the show. He showed in 2 year old halter colts and was the junior stallion champion <3 Lots of squealing when I put him back in the field with Certo and MIC, but nothing really bad. Now if he will stay away from the mares everything will be good. I'm looking forward to seeing the proofs from the shows photographer.

I'm off to the dentist to get another tooth pulled :(

Just got back in from seeing HP. I think it is my new favorite HP movie.

Yesterday I went to the Angora Goat show in Lewisburg and came back with another goat.  Heidi was shown and did well in her class.  She took second out of 12 I think it was.   I also have a spinning wheel :)  I've needed one for a while.  Now maybe I can get some of this fiber into yarn (if I can get used to using the wheel that is).

Yesterday evening Okage choked and we had to have the vet out.  He had unchoked himself for the most part by the time she got here, but she passed a tube anyway.  He appears to be okay today for now.

Diamondnita is still in today, but the stallion wouldn't collect again. The said they would try again on Monday. Nice for them, she will most likely be out of heat on Monday.

Moving more hay today. I hate hay season -__-

Its gonna be hot today and I have to move hay, and work on a fence.

Diamondnita is finally back in heat and we needed to collect today, but the stallion wouldn't collect. Hopefully she will hold until tomorrow and they can get him collected in the morning.

Back from the dentist.... Had a filling and then my upper left wisdom tooth pulled -_- I look like a vampire with all the blood coming out of my mouth.

I have to have a tooth pulled today :(

I'm back from taking Quelpo to the trainig place. I miss him, but I don't think he misses me, lol. He probably felt betrayed when I loaded him this morning and then left the farm.

Anyway, I thought I broke Kara's Ipod on the way back. It quit playing in the middle of a song and it was pluged into the charger. He, he, he. I had the charger in the wrong socket and the battery was dead. That's what the little symbol meant, lol.

Also on the way back was a bad electrical storm. Lightning hit the ground right next to me twice while going down the road.

Quelpo is supposed to go to the trainers tomorrow :( He needs to go, but I worry about taking him and not being able to check on him daily. He will be about 6 hours away :( :( If all goes well I hope to have him shown at the end of July. I'm not sure how this trip will go. He has never been on a trailer... So I get to load him for the first time in the morning.

I went to see AWE again today.

Also I edited my lj interest list some, didn't want to risk a deletion even though I don't think anything I had on it would have triggered a suspension.

Just got back from the cinema. I rather liked movie 3 and will go back and see it again <3
